Anonymize and redact information with the A-Z method

unnamed-1.png

With Cleardox you can anonymize your document in two ways:

1: A-Z anonymization

2: Via Fast Track

In this tutorial we will cover, how you can redact and anonymize your document using the A-Z method. When you redact with A-Z, you need to approve or reject one entity at a time as they are presented in the document.

A-Z anonymization

With A-Z anonymization Cleardox will present you with the information that it has found in the document one by one. Then you need to consider whether to accept (and anomymize) or to reject (and keep) the information.

Cleardox will automatically highlight all personal data with a dark grey color that has the potential to be redacted.

If a name appears more than once, Cleardox will by default redact and anonymize all occurrences in the document - like above where Kasper Mogensen is mentioned three times.

If you only want to redact one of the names, just untick the box, and Cleardox only handle the one you are presented with.

When you accept a proposal Cleardox will automatically replace the original content with a meaningful substitute (pseudonomize), and the grey marking will change color to a light grey. This will help you on the next pages, so that you can clearly see what and what not you have previously redacted.

Classified information and longer text passages can be redacted by simply highlighting the text with the cursor - then choose redact (blackline) or replace (anonymize with pseudonym). These are the two options that Cleardox presents you with, when you highlight something.

You can always use the drag handles to adjust your redaction to exclude or include surrounding text.
